The report from the inquiry has been published. Missing Evidence: An inquiry into the delayed publication of government-commissioned research is available to download here.

The charity Sense about Science initiated the inquiry as a response to media stories of government research being suppressed or withheld. Sense about Science asked former Lord Justice of Appeal the Rt Hon Sir Stephen Sedley to lead the inquiry, with the aim of determining the scale and significance of the problem and to look into potential remedies.
